
Funding news:
Big Lottery have awarded the RACH Arts project £95100 towards new projects. Other funders include WRVS, Hugh Fraser Foundation, The Archie Fund, Aberdeen City Council and individual department endowment funds.
Over ten new projects will be delivered over the next two years including:
- An artist working with Rosehill House and Lowitt Unit (Child and Family Mental Health)
- Art for the Treatment Rooms all over the hospital
- A Glass project for the glazed partitions across the hospital
- Children’s art exhibition area
- A graphic novel
- An arts project for the entrance area to medical and surgical wards
- An interior design project across Outpatient Department and Accident and Emergency
- An Arts project for Theatre involving young people from Orkney.
All these projects will closely involve young people, the staff, patients and families of each area. Young people from Inverurie, Ellon and Bridge of don Academy will be working with the artists to help design and create the news works in the Children's Hospital.
