Child and Family Mental Health Service: Rosehill House

The Child and Family Mental Health Service provides mental health care to children aged up to 13 years of age.  Rosehill House forms part of the out-patient service and is located in a separate building from the main hospital site but located about half a mile from the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.Kiran worked with staff and families at Rosehill and Studio 77 from Inverurie to inform her design for the space.

Parent Interview Rooms Medical and Surgical Wards

These two rooms were white with no windows. They were adequate but the staff recognised that they were in desperate need of enhancement. An application the The Macrobert Trust was made and Kiran Chahal was comissioned to transform them form white cheerless spaces into these cosy rooms where staff are able to speak in private to parents.
